Executive Health Program :: Special Instructions
Fasting Instructions: Your laboratory work will require that you do not have anything to eat or drink after midnight on the evening prior to your examination. We encourage you to drink water to prevent dehydration. It is recommended that you take your regular medications with water. Urinalysis: Your urine specimen will be collected at the time of your Laboratory appointment. Medications: Please bring a list of all your current medications (with dosage information), including any over the counter medications and supplements such as vitamins, minerals, etc. Hemoccult Test Kit: A test kit will be mailed to you (only if you are not having a colonoscopy). Instructions on the envelope should be followed carefully. IMPORTANT: Please give the hemoccult to the Lab Technician on the day of your appointment. Special Diet: Continue any special diet you my have if you are diabetic, or if your medical condition requires it, until you are evaluated by the physician. Test Results: If you have had medical tests during the past six months, please bring the relevant reports or films with you. Eye Glasses: If you have a set of eyeglasses that you use on a regular basis, please bring them with you if you are having an eye exam.
